Maarten (1983) is a portrait and documentary photographer with a strong preference for social and urban subjects. This interest in society also reflects on his studies. He finished his master Sociology in 2008. In 2013 Maarten took of photography capturing news for Vice and got published by de Volkskrant, Trouw and AD. In his personal work he researches the changes that urban environments are subjected to through time and how this reflects on the community and public space.
